Senior IT service Desk - Contract

City of London

IT support - 2nd line and some 3rd line - ITIL -Law firm - 4 month contract - 300-325 per day

Law firm have immediate contract requirements for senior IT service desk applicants experienced within a law firm .

Role overview

  • This position provides day-to-day Service Desk support (1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd line duties – depending on level of experience) to the business worldwide.
  • The role is responsible for supporting the provision and continual improvement of IT support services from the IT Service Desk to all the firm's offices.
  • Working within the IT Service Desk team and with the other IT teams to support the delivery of a good quality IT Service Desk service to defined performance metrics.

Key activities/responsibilities

  • To work within the IT Service Desk team to support the delivery of the IT service delivery strategy.
  • To support and contribute to the organisation’s corporate goals and business objectives.
  • To contribute to the development of the IT Service Desk team so that they are valued by the firm and able to meet the firm’s expectations.
  • To support the IT departmental and Service Desk policies for the organisation. This includes all service delivery matters, technological matters, hardware and software procurement, IT services sourcing, staff development and rewards.
  • To work in a collaborative way with all IT teams to support the implementation of the IT vision and strategy.
  • To keep up-to-date on service delivery trends, developments and the associated opportunities and contribute to the development of plans to exploit those trends to improve the IT service delivery to the firm.
  • To be responsible for assuring customers are provided with efficient and timely first and second level support on a 24x7 basis; including emergency out-of-hours cover.
